‘No’ is a complete sentence and learning to say no is one of the best things you can do for your health, especially if you’re feeling burnt out.
I used to say yes to everything. I wanted to help others and keep everyone happy so I kept filling my plate with whatever was asked of me.
I said yes to things I didn’t really want to do.
Until I was completely and utterly exhausted.
I was filled with regret and resentment.
I was killing myself for everyone else and making myself sicker and sicker.
I learnt that I couldn’t say yes to everything AND improve my health & energy levels. It had to be one or the other.
For the first time I got clear on what I valued and what was important to ME.
I prioritised myself and my health. That was a challenge and took some time, because I felt guilty & selfish.
But eventually I came to understand that I could only be the best girlfriend/daughter/sister/friend/business-owner if I took care of myself first.
Because if I felt good, I showed up as the best version of me.
I started saying no when I really didn’t want to do something. The more times I say no, the more energy I have.
I encourage you to decide what’s important to you and what you’re going to start saying NO to.
Let me know in the comments, if you’re brave enough 😉❤
